Milehightrader's Library
I'm a strong believer in research, reading, and experimentation, as there is always
something to learn. Here is my brewing library.
How To Brew 3rd Edition- Palmer
This is a must have in my opinion, for beginner or experienced brewer. The most
complete, and current, book on home brewing available.
Designing
Great Beers - Daniels
New Brewing Lager Beer - Noonan
Radical Brewing - Mosher
The above three books are classics, and packed with information. Especially good for
those who want to either brew to style, create their own recipes, and learn about
using various adjuncts in beer.
Brew Like A
Monk - Hieronymos
Excellent resource on Belgian style history and methods.
Beer Captured
- Szamatulski
Assorted clone recipes. Extract, partial mash, and all grain versions.
The Complete Joy of Homebrewing - Papazian
The Home Brewer's Companion - Papazian
Microbrewed Adventures - Papazian
Of the above,
three, the first two are pretty much the original "bibles" of home brewing. Though somewhat
outdated, they are a good addition to the brewer's library.
The Brewers Association's Guide to Starting Your Own Brewery - Daniels
Brewing Up A Business - Calagione
The above two "special interest" books, for those interested in knowledge about
what it takes to set up, a small scale commercial brewery or micropub. Just for
the record I have no interest in opening my own commercial brewery of any type. I
merely have an interest in knowing what is required to do so.
Some Nostalgia

My son was rummaging through a box awhile back and found some books, recipes,
a malt extract label, and notes from my first brewing and winemaking sessions in
about 1969 and 1980. Not much to get excited about these days, but bring back
some good memories.
